Resurge illustrates 10-time points and celebrates 13,500+ years of Indigenous peoples history on Turtle Island. Through a collaborative process with top graffiti artists Emmanuel Jarus and KWEST, who each draw parallels in connective water-works themes, circular murals depicting Anishinaabe creation story were Illustrated by Philip Cote.
This mural spans more than 15,000 square feet of surface space along the Pan Am Path and is surrounded by graffiti pieces by local and international artists.
StreetARToronto seeks to support community organizations and individual artists by providing installation expertise, access to City infrastructure and the provision of mural creation materials through the StART Community Projects Program. This program exposes emerging artists to opportunities to paint in the public realm, strives to expand the body of work of existing artists and encourages individuals and organizations to beautify their neighbourhoods all while endeavouring to respect Toronto's motto, "Diversity Our Strength."
